We advocate for military restraint, a principled foreign policy, and ending militarization at home and abroad.
The public is tired of endless wars. Our domestic policies of police militarization, institutionalized racism, and Islamophobia are inextricably linked to a militarized foreign policy. Our work includes working to end U.S. involvement in conflicts and centering the role of human rights in foreign policy.
How we've been fighting:
Online Activism
Joined by a grassroots membership of over 1.5 million activists, we demand progress through petitions, email campaigns and other digital advocacy efforts.
Policy Work
We use our team’s deep expertise to craft policy and intervene in debates to serve the interests of people, not entrenched power. For questions about our policy work, please contact Demand Progress Policy Director Daniel Schuman at [email protected]
Media Relations
We work with reporters to break crucial stories, give expert commentary and ensure the role of grassroots activism is not ignored in the press.
