WASHINGTON — In response to National Economic Council Director Brian Deese calling for Congress to pass bipartisan antitrust legislation, Demand Progress issued the following statement:
“NEC Director Deese is correct: Congress must vote immediately to pass the bipartisan American Innovation and Choice Online Act and the Open App Markets Act to promote competition in the technology sector, give small businesses and startups a chance to compete, and level the playing field. The votes are there. Leader Schumer must stop dragging his feet and schedule a vote now.”
