“For more than a year, the public has been without a fully functional FCC, while the FTC has been deadlocked without a fifth commissioner for months. These agencies are crucial to providing oversight and curtailing the rampant consumer abuses carried out by the telecom industry and monopolistic tech companies. This is exactly why many industry-backed members of Congress have fought tooth and nail to keep them deadlocked.”
